
The weekly Otago Secondary Schools basketball competition ended last Friday, August 23rd, with all four of our teams in the top three of their respective competitions.
Congratulations to the Junior girls' team, which won the junior A grade final, and to the Senior girls' team, which came second in the senior A grade after losing their final by 2 points.
Both of the boys' teams finished third in their respective premier grade finals, with the juniors beating King's High School and the seniors defeating John McGlashan College in the final few seconds in an exciting finish.
Well done to the Narruhn brothers for being selected for their respective All-Star five teams. Kobe made the senior team, and Orlando was selected for the junior team.
A big thank you to our coaches, Mike Mavor, Hannah Fowler, Siara Sam, Liam Direen, and Jacob Fowler, for all your time and hard work with our teams.
A special thanks to the parents who assisted with transportation and to Tim Hitchcock and Liam Cameron for refereeing down in Dunedin.
