Uniform expectations and shop information

Uniform Shop

The Uniform Shop is open every Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm during term time.

EFTPOS facilities are available.

The Uniform Shop is looking for volunteers to assist with the running of its weekly term-time schedule. Contact one of the team if you can help. They would love to hear from you.

Please note that all proceeds from the shop are fed back into the College by Te Ngākau Nui.

Uniform Requirements

Years 9, 10 & 11

  • Grey shorts
  • Blue long-sleeved shirts
  • College grey socks
  • College tie (winter terms)
  • Black lace-up flat heeled shoes
  • College softshell blue Jacket and if required for warmth
  • College V-necked pullover (optional)

 

Years 12 & 13

  • Grey trousers or grey shorts
  • White shirts
  • College Blazer
  • College grey socks
  • College tie

Years 9, 10 & 11

  • Blue and red tartan kilt
  • Tailored white open-necked blouse short sleeve (summer)
  • White socks – ankle length (summer)
  • Black lace-up flat heeled shoes

 

Years 12 & 13

  • Blue and red tartan kilt
  • White blouse with short sleeves (optional for summer)
  • College V-necked pullover
  • College Blazer
  • White blouse with long sleeves (winter)
  • Black dress trousers may be worn
  • College tie
  • White socks (summer)
  • Navy tights/knee high socks (winter)

Years 9 & 10

  • SKC PE top and navy shorts
  • Sports shoes
  • College softshell blue Jacket/SKC Sports hoodie

Boys – white shirt, College tie, grey trousers or grey shorts, grey College socks and College blazer

Girls – white blouse with long sleeves, College tie, College kilt, navy tights/knee high socks and College blazer

Juniors students representing the College should consider purchasing a blazer from the uniform shop. There are often second hand blazers in stock.

Student Appearance

  • St Kevin’s students show respect for the College by wearing their uniform in a clean, tidy, and well-groomed fashion.
  • Hair will be clean, tidy, clear of the face, and worn in a physically safe manner.
  • Boys will be clean-shaven, and hair will not be below the collar unless tied up.
  • Hairstyles will be within accepted convention and hair colour will be of natural colour.
  • Jewellery: small unobtrusive earrings, one in each ear. Necklaces are to be worn inside shirts.
  • Excessive cosmetics are not permitted. A light foundation, mascara and lip-gloss are acceptable for a natural appearance. Nail polish must only be clear or natural coloured.
  • A warm hat is the blue school beanie sold at the uniform shop.
  • Sunhats are available from the Uniform Shop.

 

Deviation from our uniform and expectations requires the express permission of the Deputy or Assistant Principal.
