THE FOUNDATION

The Foundation is a Charitable Trust which is the funding arm of St Kevin's College.   Its manages trust funds to generate an income, which can be used for development at the College.

St Kevin's College Foundation was established by the Christian Brothers and the College Board in 1980. The purpose of the Foundation was to secure the future of the College financially but equally important to establish a bond between ex students, parents and friends of St Kevin's, with whom the responsibility for the successful future running of the College would be vested.

When the Foundation was established in 1982 the message was that it was about money and people; money for development at the College and people to support the College.  The money invested has been crucial to the health of the College.  The people who have joined the Foundation have provided the continuing bank of support which has both supported the leadership of the College and nurtured the continuation of links with past pupils and the wider College family.

The Foundation Aims are to
  • Provide support for major school projects e.g. gymnasium, biology courtyard, computer technology.
  • Support school activities e.g. staff development, sports facilities.
  • Enable roll growth and equality of numbers of girls and boys by developing hostel facilities.
  • Assist in the development of the hostels.
  • Provide scholarship assistance.
  • Lease or own land and / or buildings to enable the continuance of the hostels.
  • Promote the College by funding brochures, visiting and advertising.
Anyone in the wider College family may join the Foundation to help ensure that St Kevin's College prospers.
We warmly welcome past pupils, parents and friend of the College to consider joining, as this a practical way to support quality Catholic Education and ensure that the College continues to prosper.
